Reward the right behavior

The instant your puppy finishes going outside, praise and treat immediately. This teaches them that outside is where the magic happens. Timing matters — reward right there, not back inside.

Use a crate wisely

A properly sized crate uses a puppy's instinct not to soil their space, aiding training. Never crate too long — young puppies can't hold it. Pair crating with frequent potty breaks.
